What is everybody up to

Hi there, I am doing fine, making plans, trying to stay warm in this cold Illinois weather. I have been invited on a trip with my two aunts, my Aunt's daughter, and her daughter(my cousins, ha ha), my daughter, and myself. We are planning on taking a trip in August to Novia Scotia, and Prince Edwards Island, for ten days. I wasn't going to go, but my one aunt is 83 and I have decided that this is a trip that I should not miss. It should be great.

Also what is everybody else reading or listening to? I love all books, just started a Janet Evonivich book, a couple Nora Roberts, and looking for new books. I love all music, but I thrive on Bon Jovi, Big and Rich, and Broadway(I know, what a combination.) I love all country, bluegrass, pop, etc.

New Year

Well, I will try this again, I just wrote a log blog, but my internet provider decided to kick me off and it took me an hour to get back on.
Well, here it goes again. We had a great Christmas, my daughter and her kids came back from Maryland, and between sharing her kids with her ex(they are friendly)and their friends from Springfield, Ill. where they used to live. we had a great two weeks with them. Christmas Eve was with our son Eric(his son was with his mom) and then home for Christmas, it was nice. Eric went with his girlfriend for Christmas day, so we had a mini Christmas the next Sunday(that is when his came home from his mom's. I am getting use to this split holidays, you have to go with the flow. It worked out and everybody had a great time
The sunday everybody was at my house,Julie, her kids, Eric, his son, his girlfriend, and his twin brother Gary, too. So all three kids were together. I was sick, and did not tell anybody. After they left, I passed out, scaring my husband half to death. It seems I had the flu and was a touch dehydrated. It took about a week to recover. There is not much medicine they can give for this flu, just nausea pills, and pills to stop going(if you know what I mean).
So for New Years Eve(our 39 wedding anniversary.), I had the flu, and for our anniversary, I gave my husband the flu. We sent our daughter and her kids to Springfield for New Years Eve, but when they came, they still did not get the flu, thank goodness.
This year I want to accomplish,
finally cleaning my basement,
putting all my pictures in albums,
getting back to my crafts,(which are greeting cards, learning cross stitch, scrapbooking
and many more
putting my genealogy records in order.
organizing and cleaning out my recipes and cookbooks.
and last but not least is- blogging on a regular basis

Now that I have put these goals in writing maybe I will accomplish them, it worked last fall,except the clean the basement part.

my goals for fall

Well, I have accomplished all the goals, that I had for fall, except cleaning the basement. I got the water cleaned up but not the basement. That will take the winter and a lot of determination, so I will not save everything(LIKE I USUALLY DO), so my goal is to be tough and throw away. Wish me luck, I am not good at that.
My daughter moved to Maryland this year, with two of my grandkids, but she just told me she is going to come home for thanksgiving and Christmas. YEAH!!!! I suddenly realized that means I will have to cook and decorate for both holidays, instead of going to her house. HMMM
I can do it, I just have been lazy the last couple years. It is time to get my Christmas villages out, and start that tradition again.
My twin boys, 38 years old. have been confirmed bachelors(the one has a son) both have a stead girlfriend, and they may get serious. If they do marry, I will inherit 3 teenagers with the daughters - in law. The future may get interesting
My other blog chriswyafamily is unavailable to me, I can't post on it, I do not know what I did, but I am sure I caused the problem. I am still trying to figure it out, I may need to eliminate it, and start another one for both sides of my family.

some favorite blogs

I am sad that some of my favorite blogs went private, and I tried to get them to let me be a part of it but sadly I wasn't to be a part of them. It makes me feel kind of odd, like I have been intruding on them, and they are stopping it. I guess, I see some of the reason, but I think they are overreacting but - that is life!!!! I will get over it, but I do not think I will get involved with too many blogs now, it feels funny when they shut you out. I am not sure of the reason for these closings but I wish them well, as I did really like and enjoy these people. Good luck to them.

goals for next week

Well, I have been on vacation for two weeks, 11 states and 3400 miles. I am exhausted. I have not done anything this week, recovering from vacation. Now it is time to buckle down and get a few thing that MUST be done for the fall.

1. get flower gardens weeked and put to bed for winter.
2. clean veggie garden, pick the last of the veggies and clean it off to be tilled for spring
3. Put peat on garden, so it the soil will not be dry.
4. clean up patios, breezeway, flower pots, and statues.
5. put garden shed in order so can walk in it this winter.
6. clean up odds and ends that need to be gone through, that I hid in the garden shed this summer.
7.clean basement, that got water in when we were gone(nice homecoming present.)

These thing need to be done and I am blogging, and then I am going to read. When I get up tomorrow, I will start on these projects. I will get back to you on my progress.
I am just being lazy putting these things off, I have to get better.

confused in blog land

I have two blogs and can only post in one of them. I have done something wrong, but what? Oh well, I will probably have to delete one of them.
Everybody who's blog I read is going private,it makes me feel like I am a unwanted person,and I have done something wrong, but I know I have not. Oh well. I can only take care of myself. I can't even figure my blog out. ha ha
